Domtar Corporation, a leading provider of sustainable fiber-based products, was proud to once again partner with the Central Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance (CWMA) for its annual Heavy Metal Tour — an initiative designed to introduce local students to career opportunities within the manufacturing sector.
The program, which aims to inspire the next generation of manufacturers, provides participants with firsthand exposure to the processes, technologies and potential career pathways available in the industry.
During their recent visit to the Nekoosa Mill, students observed the complex, innovative process of paper production, from raw materials to the finished product.

“From raw materials to the finished product, the students saw how teamwork, precision and continuous improvement drive our operations every day,” a Domtar spokesperson said.
The Heavy Metal Tour encourages youth to explore careers in advanced manufacturing, promotes STEM learning through real-world applications, and strengthens community ties and industry awareness.
Domtar expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase its work and inspire future talent, extending thanks to everyone who helped make the tour a success.
The CWMA is a trade association for area manufacturers focused on building a strong local economy.
