Congratulations to the Rothschild Mill for receiving the Shining Star Award presented by United Way of Marathon County.
The award is given to companies that operate an exceptional campaign and give back through special events, volunteering or running drives to support United Way’s efforts to address food insecurity.
In 2024, the Rothschild Mill raised $24,370 for United Way. This included employee campaign pledge card donations and special events, such as the sporting clays shoot, chili feed and bake sale. The mill also supported United Way through the collection of work boots for the Career Closet and the Lottsa Pasta Drive.
Tamara Sillars, Tracie Alexander, Tara Milanowski and Becky Coushman accepted the award at the end-of-year United Way celebration event held on Jan. 30 at the Elks Lodge.
