Rothschild Dam Modernization Construction Update
Domtar is moving forward with its project to modernize the Rothschild Dam. In the interest of public safety, we want to inform residents who may be affected by upcoming project-related activities:
• From January through May, two temporary cofferdams will be installed. These structures are necessary to establish safe and dry access to demolish the existing dam and to construct the new dam.
• During this time, truck traffic will continue to increase along Foxglove Road and Azalea Road as cofferdam rock fill and steel piling material are transported to the project site.
We are committed to minimizing impacts on the public boat launch, portage route and surrounding community throughout this work, collaborating with local municipalities as appropriate.
