Domtar continued its commitment to sustainability by sponsoring Forest Fest 2026 in Eagle River, Wisconsin, on July 25.
The event, organized by the Trees for Tomorrow Environmental Education Center, brings together nearly 50 representatives from the forest products industry to engage with the public and share information about sustainable natural resource management.
More than 600 visitors attended this year’s Forest Fest. For many, the event presented the chance to learn about the important role the forest products industry plays in local sustainability efforts through exhibits, demonstrations and educational activities.
Domtar and its predecessors have supported Trees for Tomorrow since the center’s inception in 1944. The center was established by a coalition of forest product companies — including what would become Domtar’s Nekoosa Mill — to teach responsible forestry practices and natural resources management to educators and students across the Midwest.
Domtar takes pride in its efforts to support sustainability initiatives in the region.
The company is a member of several industry coalitions and boards in Wisconsin, including:
- Trees for Tomorrow;
- Wisconsin Society of American Foresters (WI SAF);
- Wisconsin Sustainable Forestry Initiative State Implementation Committee (SFI-SIC); and
- Wisconsin Paper Council Forestry and Transportation Committee.
Through those partnerships, Domtar continues to ensure the forest products industry continues its role in shaping the future of sustainable forestry and natural resource management.
